James Odoch calls for right attitude at Express

When the next football season starts in Uganda, Express FC assistant coach James James Odoch will be expecting the team to get going from the start.

The former Uganda Cranes star wants the right attitude in the team to help them compete for silverware.

“Football is not about a good team there’s more to that, we need to hope for the right attitude from the players because it so important,” Odoch told the club website in a recent interview.

“You could have the best team in the world but with zero attitude which would be terrible.” he added.

The 40 year old is a big part of Wasswa Bbosa's coaching team and will be expected to inspire many of the players.

He has good memories with the club having donned the red and white at the turn of the new millennium.

The recruitment of players is still ongoing at the club having released over 18 players from last season's squad.

Winning a seventh league title is important for the club but having finished ninth from last season, Odoch and the rest of the technical team will start with getting Express up the table next season.

The 2020/21 StarTimes Uganda Premier League is earmarked to start on 17th October.

All that, however, depends on government guidelines regarding public gatherings in the country.  Sports is yet to get a green light and the league may have to wait a little longer.
