Inter Milan will battle with Getafe in the Round of 16
UEFA Europa League match at the VELTINS Arena on 05 August 2020.
The Italian giants booked their spot in this stage after they defeating Bulgarian side Ludogorets Razgrad 4-1 on aggregate in the Round of 32 tie in February 2020.
They are unbeaten in their last two matches in the Europa League having recorded two successive wins against Ludogorets.
The last time they lost a match in the tournament was against German club Eintracht Frankfurt as they suffered a 1-0 defeat away on 14 March 2019.
Antonio Conte, the Inter manager, is wary of Getafe as he feels that they are a stubborn side having watched them in the Spanish La Liga.
"There are some great teams there, especially Manchester United, who are obviously also contenders," Conte said.
"Obviously we want to do our best, without setting ourselves limits but in the knowledge that this is a journey and we want to grow.
"Getafe are a stubborn side, they made Real Madrid and Barcelona suffer and it won’t be simple at all.”
Meanwhile, Getafe secured their place in the Round of 16 after they defeated Dutch giants Ajax Amsterdam 3-2 on aggregate in the Round of 32 tie in February 2020.
However, the Spanish side saw their three-match unbeaten run in the Europa League come to an end when they lost to Ajax in their last game in the competition.
The last time they won a game in the tournament was against Ajax as they emerged 2-0 winners at home on 20 February 2020.
This will be the first competitive meeting between Inter and Getafe.
