Utah Jazz and Denver Nuggets are set to clash in Game Three of their NBA first-round playoff tie on August 21.
 
Prior to this encounter, the two teams will meet twice in Game One on August 17 and Game Two on August 19.
 
The winner of the seven-match tie will advance to the conference semi-finals where they are scheduled to face either Los Angeles Clippers or Dallas Mavericks.

The Jazz have never won the NBA championship and they are hoping to go all the way and clinch their maiden title this season.
 
While Nuggets are also looking to clinch their maiden NBA championship this term despite having defensive problems.

Through eight games in the 'bubble', Nuggets opponents have buried 44.8% of their 3-point tries and their coach Michael Malone is unhappy with his defence.
 
“We have the worst defense in the bubble, so we haven’t seen much progress in any area in regards to anything defensive related."
 
“Communication, transition, pick-and-roll, 3-point, whatever you want to call it," Malone said on Denver Post ahead of the playoffs.

Meanwhile, Indiana Pacers are set to square off with Miami Heat in the Game Three of the first-round playoffs on August 22.
 
Before this match, the two teams will meet twice in Game One on August 18 and Game Two on August 20.
 
The winner of the seven-match tie will progress to the conference semi-finals where they are set to face either Milwaukee Bucks or Orlando Magic.
 
The Pacers are three-time NBA championship winners having won the competition in 1970, 1972 and 1973 and they are now eyeing their fourth title.
 
The Heat have been crowned NBA champions three times in 2006, 2012 and 2013 and are targeting their fourth trophy.
