Hamilton won the most recent race which was the Eifel Grand Prix two weeks ago after finishing third at the Russian Grand Prix last month.

Max Verstappen of Red Bull and Renault driver Daniel Ricciardo finished second and third respectively at the Eifel Grand Prix.

Hamilton is still placed at the top of the Drivers' Championship standings having accumulated 230 points from 11 races.

His teammate Valtteri Bottas is now placed second with 161 points, while Verstappen is still placed third having collected 147 points.

Hamilton received Formula One legend Michael Schumacher's race helmet from his son, Mick after equaling his record of 91 race wins at the Eifel Grand Prix.

“It’s going to take some time to get used to it. Honestly, as I came into the pitlane, that’s only when I realised that I had equalled it," Hamilton said.

“I hadn’t even computed it once I had crossed the line so I couldn’t have done it without the team, everyone continuing to push behind me and giving it their everything so a big, big thank you and huge, huge respect to Michael.”

“I did of course dream of one day being here but it’s beyond my wildest dreams reaching Michael’s wins and so it’s very, very hard to describe how I feel right now.” “I’m tired from the race, my mind is blown. So I’ve got a bit of a headache right now."

Mercedes are still placed at the top of Constructors' standings followed by second-placed Red Bull and third-placed Racing Point.
