The
2020 Spanish Grand Prix will take place on August 16 in Montmelo which is a municipality in the comarca of Vallès Oriental in Barcelona, Catalonia.
This will be the sixth round of this year's Championship and it is set to take place at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.

The circuit was known only as the Circuit de Catalunya, before a sponsorship deal with Barcelona City Council added Barcelona to the track's title in 2013.

Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton will be keen to defend his Spanish Grand Prix title which he won for the fourth time last year.
Hamilton's teammate Valtteri Bottas and Red Bull driver Max Verstappen finished second, and third respectively.
Lewis is sitting at the top of the Drivers’ Championship standings having won three races in Austria, Hungary and Britain.
However, he finished second behind Verstappen, who won the latest round which was the 70th Anniversary Grand Prix in Silverstone, England on August 09.

While Verstappen and Bottas are now placed second, and third respectively on the world drivers' championship standings.
Hamilton was beaten to pole position by his teammate Bottas by just 0.063 seconds at the 70th Anniversary Grand Prix.
"Valtteri did a fantastic job today," Hamilton praised Bottas, who finished third in the enthralling race.
"He was just a bit too quick for me. The first lap was fairly decent and the last lap wasn't spectacular. Ultimately, he did a better job."
Mercedes are placed at the top of Constructors' standings followed by Red Bull and Ferrari respectively.
