Leicester v Sheffielfd

Claude Puel’s fearless Foxes find themselves on a fairytale FA Cup run. After reaching the same stage in the League Cup where they were eventually dumped out by the soon-to-be Champions Manchester City, they turned their attention to England’s oldest club competition after securing the safety of midtable in the Premier League. Despite needing a replay in their third-round clash against Fleetwood Town, Leicester City have lost just two fixtures domestically since the turn of the year.

Leicester City FA Cup results:

16/02/2018 – Leicester 1-0 Sheff United
27/01/2018 – Peterborough 1-5 Leicester
16/01/2018 – Leicester 2-0 Fleetwood (R)
06/01/2018 – Fleetwood 0-0 Leicester

Antonio Conte’s Chelsea

Antonio Conte’s Chelsea will be relishing their chances of FA Cup glory after having had their Champions League hopes dashed by the brilliant Barcelona on Wednesday. The Blues have registered just one win in five matches in all competitions since they overturned Hull City at Stamford Bridge in the fourth-round for just their fifth victory in 2018. The pressure is certainly on the enigmatic Italian to deliver another trophy in his second season in charge in the capital but should results turn against them on Sunday, it will be hard to stake a claim for Conte staying on past the end of the current campaign.

Chelsea FA Cup results:

16/02/2018 – Chelsea 4-0 Hull
28/01/2018 – Chelsea 3-0 Newcastle
17/01/2018 – Chelsea 1-1 Norwich (R) *
06/01/2018 – Norwich 0-0 Chelsea
*Chelsea won 5-3 on penalties

Mahrez goal v Chelsea

Chelsea have won four of the last five meetings with Leicester City since the midlands outfit lifted the PremierC League trophy in the most unexpected fashion in 2015/16. The Foxes picked up four points from a possible six against Chelsea that season as they swept the rest of the division aside. Riyadh Mahrez superb individual strike at the King Power in December 2015 will ling long in the memory of Foxes fans and with the Algerian winger back in the fold following his failed transfer to Manchester City in January, many will be hoping he can replicate the form he showed that evening and terrorize the Blues backline as he did when the pair drew 0-0 at Stamford Bridge earlier on in the campaign.
