Four Betway Kobs players make Rugby Sevens Team

Betway Kobs will be represented by four players at this year's Hong Kong Sevens.

Uganda Sevens head coach Tolbert Onyango has named Pius Ogena, Adrian Kasito, Ian Munyani and Joseph Aredo in the team to represent Uganda at the event.

The four have been in fine form for Kobs in the league this season and have earned their place in the team.

Aredo returns to the team having missed out on going to the World Cup in San Francisco last year.

Ogena makes the team after overcoming an ankle injury that ruled him out of some league action this season.

He put up a man of the match performance in Kobs' 29-10 win over Warriors the previous weekend.

Munyani has been a mainstay in the Kobs' midfield and his exploits have been noticed by the national team coaching staff.

Kasito has been a routine figure on the Sevens' team and will have yet another bite of the cherry.

There is one debutant in the team named as Heaghens' Paul Masendi makes the cut.

The Uganda Sevens will be in search of core status in the world sevens' stage.

There's a single slot from the qualifier in Hong Kong with the winner joining the big boys in the HSBC World Series.

The tournament is slated for the weekend of April 6-7 in Hong Kong.
