Express trying to make Wankulukuku hospitable for fans

Sport is nothing without fans and the new Express Chief Executive Officer Isaac Mwesigwa is well aware of that.

He leads a club that boasts arguably the biggest fan base in the country and now wants to ensure these fans feel much more at home when at Wankulukuku for their home games.

The club is now working on providing a good atmosphere for all the fans on home games starting next season.

The Corona Virus pandemic has put sport out of the way for now but the club will use the time to do all they need in place before kick-off of the next football season.

“This Covid-19 break is a blessing in disguise because we are using this period to try and change a few things at Wankulukuku” Mwesigwa told the club website.

“The fans need to know we are seriously thinking about them, by the time the season kicks off we shall have put some mechanisms in place for a good experience.

The Betway sponsored side is in a rebuilding process with the new CEO putting together a team to run the club secretariat.

Head coach Wasswa Bbosa is also building a team that will do the work on the pitch to give Express the desired success.

The club is also planning to out their season tickets and Mwesigwa urges all the Red Eagles faithful to be ready to purchase these in large numbers.

“I’d like to kindly request the fans to be on alert and immediately purchase season tickets in large numbers, this will not only help them to easily access the stadium but will help the club financially.”

Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) set October 17 as the tentative date for the return of football in the country.

All that will, however, depend on the advice from the ministry of health in regards to the  Corona Virus pandemic.
