Express to open second round with URA clash

Express will start the final bend of the Uganda Premier League season with a clash against table leaders URA FC.

The tie will headline matchday 16 that resumes immediately after the international break.

Express are on 32 points, four behind-the-table leaders, and only one short of second-placed Vipers.

Victory over the tax collectors will see the Wankulukuku outfit close the gap to a single point while defeat could make things tougher in the title race.

After URA, the Kampala derby awaits Wasswa Bbosa and his charges.

George Senkaaba's lone strike saw Express defeat Villa in the first round.

The clash at Bombo will paint a picture of what Express will need to do to lay hands on silverware.

Bright Stars, Vipers, and Onduparaka will complete Express' lineup of tough fixtures in April.

With defender Murushid Juuko as the only Express, player summoned to the Cranes team, the rest of the squad will have no time to rest having completed their first-round fixtures with a 1-0 win over Police.

The league will resume just a day after the Uganda Cranes Afcon trip to Malawi.

Relegation-threatened Busoga United will start the second round facing Onduparaka at Fufa Technical Centre, Njeru on March 31.

Fourth-placed KCCA, who are on 27 points will be looking to make amends when they welcome Bul at Lugogo.

SC Villa, who ended the first round in seventh place on 25 points, will start the second round with a trip to the East to face troubled Myda.
