Board Member and Vice Chairman Fans Committee Mr. Aiden Kateregga Wasajja who heads the organizing committee promised a memorable experience on the night for all fans.

The dinner is expected to mobilize corporates to follow and support their club. It is expected to start with a fans’ journey and presentation.

This will be followed by a club presentation highlighting achievements over the years that include a joint- best 10 Uganda Cup titles.

Club Chairman Kiryowa Kiwanuka is also expected to present a keynote speech before the event will be crowned with a photo moment and a sumptuous dinner.

According to a statement on the website the event is expected to “be the beginning of a journey that is believed to create a strong base for these fans to buy club products like season tickets and merchandise. These fans will also start mobilizing other fans they know to come and support the club in all aspects.”

Express finished 10th in the 16-team league last season an improvement on a 13th-place finish the previous season.

The club is seeking to return to the glory days of the 1990’s when they dominated the local football scene with three of the club’s six league titles coming in  1993, 1995, 1996.

Up to four Uganda Cup titles were also won in that period 1992, 1994, 1995, 1997 including the famous 1995 league and cup double in 1995.

Current club coach George Ssimwogerere played an integral part in that era captaining the side for much of that decade.

The 1995 season also produced an African Cup of Champions Clubs semifinal appearance before the Red Eagles and "Mukwano Gwa bangi" nicknamed club suffered a 2–1 aggregate defeat to eventual champions Orlando Pirates.

Express’ last domestic silverware came in 2012 when they won the league title.
