Express sign Mustapha Kiragga

Express FC continue to unveil new faces at the club as they prepare for the start of a new football season.

The latest acquisition is forward Mustapha Kiragga.

The 19 year old joins the Red Eagles from South African side Alexandria FC and has signed a two year deal.

The club's fifth signing is the first forward to be announced and will be expected to compete for playing time with Frank Kalanda and Eric Kambale.

"I am happy to be joining Express," the striker told the club website in an interview after signing.

"As a striker my target is to score as many goals as possible and help the team perform well." he added.

The six-time league winners scored 30 goals in 25 games last season with Frank Kalanda contributing 11 of those.

Kiragga will be tasked with providing more goals to help the club improve on that.

The combination of Disan Galiwango, Frank Ssenyondo and Kalanda produced 24 goals amongst themselves the previous campaign.

With Galiwango joining Vipers, there will be a gap to fill in terms of scoring and creating goals.

The Uganda Premier League is expected to resume on October 17th October pending clearance from the ministry of health and President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
