Their first serious opportunity to impress is expected to come this weekend in a regional tour match against Kitara Region Select on Saturday in Hoima.

The pair were arguably Express’ best performers last season as they reached the semifinals of the Uganda Cup with Galilwango moved forward from the left back position by coach George Ssimwogerere.

Revita meanwhile excelled in central defense for the Betway sponsored side and was also part of the largely home based side that played in the Cosafa tournament in late May.

The team also includes four players who were part of the senior Cranes team that reached the round-of-16 stage at the Africa Cup of Nations.

There are three new players who had never been summoned to any Cranes’ set up including Johnson Odong from Police, Kakiri Town Council’s Samson Andrew  Kigozi as well as Yusuf Ssozi from Paidha Black Angels.

After the first leg, the two teams will meet again at StarTimes Stadium, Lugogo on August 03. The winner of the tie will then play either South Sudan or Burundi who meet in one of the other preliminary round ties in the Central Eastern Zone.
