Express CEO happy with FUFA decision on Galiwango

Express Chief Executive Officer Isaac Mwesigwa is a happy man following a Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) ruling in regards to Disan Galiwango's departure to Vipers.

Galiwango, Express' captain from last season, joined Vipers even when he still had a running contract with the Red Eagles.

He also pocketed 15 million from Express prior to signing a pre-contract that he later abused to cross to Kitende.

The Fufa Dispute Resolution Chamber concluded that the player had breached an agreement with Express.

Galiwango was therefore ordered to pay Express a total of Shs. 25M before he can get a playing license to start life at Vipers.

The 15M is what Galiwango took from the club at the time of signing a pre-contract while the 10M is compensation to the club.

“As a club we let football win. We didn't want to drag this issue for so long," Mwesigwa said after the ruling.

"The club wishes Disan success in his new adventure." he concluded.

The Fufa ruling will serve as a warning to players and clubs who do not respect contracts.
