Express FC New Chief Executive Officer Isaac Mwesigwa is a big fan of head coach Wasswa Bossa and believes he's the right man to steady the ship at the club.
While appearing on a television show Wednesday this week, Mwesigwa told the public that Bossa was brought in because of his record and love for the team.
“We all know Wasswa Bossa is a good coach, a problem solver, is a person who has a strong relation with players," he said of the returning coach.
"By the time Bossa came to Express, we needed a coach who was going to give us stability, a coach who knows our culture, a coach who played for the team before, who has experience and a coach who could give us immediate results.
“He was a good choice because most of his teams tend to be very hard to beat and we are going to support him by giving him the players he needs and I want to assure fans that we still have a long term future with him and we are very happy with what he has done so far.”
Bossa might have come to the club before Mwesigwa's appointment but the latter was part of the process albeit remotely.
With results not going Express' way, the club elected to have George Ssimwogerere out and bring back Bossa, a prodigal son who had had stints at SC Villa and Tooro United.
Bossa started by getting a result against Onduparaka in Arua and this saw a turnaround for the club.
He eventually helped Express out of the relegation zone to finish 9th on the log with 31 points from 25 games.
Mwesigwa further stressed that the club will give the tactician all the support he needs in regards to bolstering the team.
“Even though we released a couple of players, we have a lot of players remaining and we are going to promote others from our junior team." He said.
The IT specialist also urged the club fans to prepare and get back into the stadium because the team is going to go back where it supposed to be.
