English Premier League
Round 13 of the 2018/19 Premier League is headlined by the clash between Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea at Wembley Stadium, with the London rivals battling over third place on the standings.
Spurs have enjoyed six wins from their last seven league outings, with the only exception a loss at home to Manchester City in late October. Mauricio Pochettino’s side will hope that this match against a fellow title hopeful sees them step up and compete strongly. Anything less and they will once again be regarded merely as top-four material.

Chelsea were held 0-0 at home to Everton before the international break, leaving them unbeaten thus far but four points off the pace of City. Maurizio Sarri and his charges will hope to get one over their London rivals and avenge a 3-1 loss suffered at Stamford Bridge when they last crossed swords with the Lilywhites.
Another key battle this coming weekend is Manchester United hosting Crystal Palace at Old Trafford. Jose Mourinho’s side need to start building momentum and putting points on the board following a loss in the Manchester derby which has left them in eighth place and a full 12 points adrift of the leaders.
Palace have slipped down the log following six winless matches and now find themselves above the relegation zone only on goal difference. The Eagles and coach Roy Hodgson will hope that talismanic Ivorian attacker Wilfried Zaha recovers from a hamstring injury in time to face his former team, having been forced to miss his national side’s key match against Guinea in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers this past weekend.
At the top of the log, Man City will be expecting to march on with another victory when they face West Ham United at the London Stadium. The Citizens are widely expected to pick up all three points against the Hammers, who are now led by Manuel Pellegrini – a man who should be fondly remembered by the blue half of Manchester for taking the team to the Premier League title in 2013/14 as well as two League Cup trophies.
His personal battle against Pep Guardiola will see a revival of a rivalry which ran strongly in La Liga, when the current City boss was in charge of Barcelona and Pellegrini was at the helm of Villarreal, Real Madrid and Malaga.
Elsewhere, there are set to be some fascinating African battles, such as Isaac Success leading Watford’s attack for their home clash against Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane’s Liverpool; Jean-Michael Seri coming up against Mario Lemina in midfield for Fulham (who have a new manager in the shape of Claudio Ranieri) against Southampton; and Yves Bissouma will come up against Wilfred Ndidi when Brighton & Hove Albion host Leicester City.
