Enock Walusimbi honoured to captain Express

Express FC is one of the top clubs in Ugandan football and it is an honour for anyone to captain it.

For newly appointed club captain Enock Walusimbi, it means a lot to lead the team of Express' calibre.

With the massive recruitment at the club, the technical team had to choose a team leader to take the armband that was left behind by Disan Galiwango.

“It’s an honour and privilege to lead this historic club and I’ll repay the faith put in me,” Walusimbi stated after his appointment.

“I know the arm band and badge come with a lot of expectations especially from the fans but I’d like to confirm that along with my teammates.”

“We are ready for the challenge and we’re positive we shall bring back the club’s past glory." He added.

Walusimbi will be deputized by goalkeeper Mathias Muwanga and youngster Desmond Kaneene.

Walusimbi has captained Bright Stars before and his leadership qualities will be expected to push Express to the next level next season.

Express have struggled over the last few seasons and have set out to improve on their league position in the coming seasons.

The recruitment started with the confirmation of Wasswa Bbosa as head coach and he has assembled a team of over 14 new players.

Walusimbi is one of the new arrivals alongside some other standout signings like Abel Eturude and Godfrey Lwesibawa.
