Elche CF will take on Athletic Bilbao in a

The Green Striped Ones claimed a 3-1 win over Cadiz away in their previous league encounter which was played on May 16.
The win ended Elche's three-match winless in this competition having registered three consecutive defeats.

However, the Green Striped Ones are winless in their last two matches on the road in La Liga having recorded two successive defeats.
Meanwhile, Bilbao succumbed to a 1-0 defeat to Real Madrid at home in their previous league game which was played on May 16.
Therefore, the Lions are winless in their last three matches in the competition having registered two consecutive defeats and one draw.
Bilbao lost to Huesca in their last away match in the competition and the defeat ended their four-match unbeaten run as the visitors.

Marcelino, Bilbao manager, reflected on their defeat to Madrid ahead of their encounter with Elche.
“Things didn’t come off for us tonight. Our attitude was good, but the opponents outplayed us, they beat us in almost every single duel and dominated the match," Marcelino said.
“We could hardly create any danger and we struggled to adjust to their press. The second half was more end to end, but we didn’t really trouble them either."
The last meeting between Elche and Bilbao in a league match was on 3 January 2021.
Bilbao claimed a 1-0 win over Elche in a match which was played at the Estadio San Mames.
