Ducati rider Andrea Dovizioso won last year's Austrian Grand Prix and it was his second title in Spielberg having also won the race in 2017.
Marc Marquez of Honda and Yamaha rider Fabio Quartararo finished second, and third respectively.
Quartararo is placed at the top of the riders' standings having accumulated 59 points and he is followed by his Yamaha teammates Maverick Vinales and Franco Morbidelli.
Fourth-placed Dovizioso says he doesn't know what happened to his tyre in the latest round of the 2020 season, Czech Grand Prix and he ended up finishing 11th in the race.

“The tyre for sure is the only difference compared to last year. This is the only clear thing I had in my mind. And this is not an excuse, this is just the reality," Dovizioso said.
“I don’t know what happened today, the qualifying, it was bad and my speed was very bad. I didn’t expect that.
"My pace on the used tyre is not that bad, especially in practice four. I wasn’t the fastest, but not that far to the fastest. So, close to the podium."
Yahama are sitting at the top of Manufacturers' Championship standings - 26 points above their closest rivals, KTM.
KTM and Dovizioso's Ducati are placed second and third respectively on the standings
