His only French Open triumph came in 2016 when he defeated Andy Murray of Scotland in the final in four sets.

As a result, Djokovic became the eighth player in history to achieve the Career Grand Slam and the first player to win $100 million in prize money

The six-time ITF World Champion is also the third man to hold all four major titles at once, the first since Rod Laver in 1969 and the first ever to do so on three different surfaces.

The three-time US Open champion is set to meet with Pablo Carreno Busta of Spain in the final eight.

Djokovic is enjoying playing in this year's tournament having stepped in and helped the Roland Garros officials clean the court during his recent clash with Daniel Galan of Colombia.

“I tried, but I am not as good as the team at Roland Garros,” Djokovic reacted to the incident.

“They are the best, thank you very much for everything you do here for our court. Yes, thank you very much everyone for staying with us. It was really good.”
