Djokovic has won the Vienna Open title once and his victory came in 2007 when he defeated Swiss star Stan Wawrinka in an exciting final.

It was his fifth title of the year and the competition was known as the BA-CA TennisTrophy at the time.

Djokovic says he has learned from his recent defeat to Spanish tennis icon Rafael Nadal in the recent 2020 French Open final.

“I have my flaws. I try to remind myself how blessed I am to be in this position especially in the big moments and the big tournaments like this," Djokovic said.

“Of course defeats like this are never really enjoyable but in the greatest defeats, you learn the greatest lessons.

"I understand there are people that don’t like what I do … I know I can’t be liked by everyone and that’s fine."
