Schalke 04 will battle with Werder Bremen in a German
Bundesliga match at the VELTINS Arena on May 30.
The Royal Blues are coming off a 2-1 defeat to Fortuna Dusseldorf away in a match which was played on May 27.
The defeat extended Schalke's winless run to 10 matches in the league having recorded four draws and six defeats.
Weston McKennie, the Schalke midfielder, says they need to stick together ahead of their clash with Bremen.
"It’s really frustrating to have lost again. Especially because both goals came from set pieces," McKennie said.
"We can’t let our heads drop now. On Saturday we go again against Bremen. We need to stick together and bring a positive feeling to the pitch."
Schalke are also winless in their last four home matches in the Bundesliga having registered two draws and two defeats.
Meanwhile, Bremen were held to a 0-0 draw by Borussia Monchengladbach at home in a match which was played on May 26.
The River Islanders are now undefeated in their last two matches in the league having registered one draw and one victory.
They are also unbeaten in their last two away matches in the Bundesliga having registered one win and one draw.
The last time Schalke and Bremen clashed in a league encounter was on 23 November 2019. The Royal Blues secured a narrow 2-1 win over the River Islanders in a match which was played at the Weser Stadion.
