Chelsea will look to complete a ‘double’ over Ajax when the teams meet in a Group H clash in the UEFA Champions League at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday 5 November 2019, kick-off at 23:00 CAT.
The Blues narrowly defeated the Dutch giants 1-0 in the teams’ previous meeting in Amsterdam in October, with Michy Batshuayi netting in the 86
th minute to secure a key victory for the Premier League side.
"We respected Ajax – that is how we should be. The great thing at the moment is the desire and I think we are in the right direction. The signs are good,” said Chelsea manager Frank Lampard.

Another win for the London side would not only continue their excellent recent form, but also ensure that they remain on top of Group H and well on course for a place in the last 16 of the elite European competition.
All is not lost for Ajax, who are tied with Chelsea at the top of the group on six points, but Erik ten Hag’s side will hope to at least avoid another defeat, or they could open the door for Valencia to leapfrog them in the standings.
"We were sloppy on the ball and had difficulty in retaining possession for long. We didn't really create too many chances. And, of course, it was extra painful to concede so late in the game,” said Ajax striker Quincy Promes, who will be keen on impressing at Stamford Bridge.
The other Group H match on Tuesday sees Spanish side Valencia host bottom-of-the-log Lille at Estadio de Mestalla.
