Betway Power misery continues after UPDF loss

Betway Power’s search for a first win this season will stretch to their sixth game of the season. This is after yet another defeat that marked a fifth loss in as many games.

The five-time champions lost 70-82 to UPDF Tomahawks at the KIU court in Kansanga on Saturday. Power got off to a slow start and trailed 26-15 at the end of the first quarter. 

They mounted a comeback and reduced the deficit to just a single point at halftime but UPDF took charge of proceedings in the second half to win the game.

It was the first game for center Saidi Amisi but his 16 points were not enough for Arnold Lando's charges. Nasser Guddi posted 15 points while and Robert Tasiri added 13 in the loss.

Shooting guard Elvis Ssentongo started at the point in the absence of Guthier Badhera but struggled to control the game. Power have now lost to KIU Titans, Ndejje Angels, JKL Dolphins, City Oilers, and UPDF and remain bottom of the log. 

Next on the menu for the Betway-sponsored outfit are clashes with is KCCA Panthers, Namuwongo Blazers, UCU Canons, and Falcons.
