Betway Kobs Win First Sevens Circuit

Kyadondo sevens:
Final
Kobs 12-7 Buffaloes

Betway Kobs started their campaign of defending the national sevens title with a 12-7 finals win against Toyota Buffaloes in the Kyadondo sevens on Saturday.
And, for that, the Legends side have already found their way to the top of the table in the national sevens championship.
Joseph Aredo and Edgar Seruwagi scored for Kobs to come from a 7-0 deficit and win the final against home side Buffaloes.
Eric Kasiita had crossed the white line to give Buffaloes a 7-0 lead early in the game.
Kobs, who have had adequate preparations while the Rugby Cranes featured in the Africa Gold Cup, looked fresher than most of the sides at the tournament.
Adrian Kasiito, Ramathan Govule, Joseph Aredo and James Ijongat displayed glimpses of brilliance on the day.

Senior player Timothy Mudoola rolled back the years with a comeback to rugby.
Buffaloes had defeated Heathens in the semifinals while Kobs defeated Pirates en route to the championship game.
Buffaloes’ Robert Masendi was named MVP at the end of the event.
Kobs, the winners, took home 1.5M from organizers Kyadondo while Buffaloes pocketed 750,000 UGX for finishing second.
The sevens event moves to Jinja this weekend with the Jinja Hippos playing host to the rest of the teams and Kobs will still be favourites to lift the cup.
The Graveyard, Makerere and Gulu will host one circuit each while Legends, home to Pirates and Kobs, will host two events.
