Betway Kobs shine for Rugby Cranes

The national rugby league took a breather over the weekend as Uganda and France climaxed friendship celebrations with a classic rugby match up.

Betway Kobs was well represented by two players in the Cranes team and the two didn't disappoint.

Named to start on the day, Robert Aziku and Faragi Odugo were both on the score sheet as Uganda ran over France 34-13 at Kyadondo Rugby Club.

Odugo, who was making his senior Cranes debut, went over to mark a dream first match.

Ivan Magomu, Joseph Oyet and Mike Otto are the other players who touched down for Uganda at a packed Kyadondo.

Uganda dominated France in all aspects as the visitors struggled to cope with the high tempo of the Cranes.

Magomu was named man of the match on the day having highlighted his superb performance with two tries.

The attention will now turn to league action yet again as Betway Kobs look to snatch the title from Heathens on the last day.

Fred Mudoola's troops will play hosts to Shell Rimula Rhinos at Legends on Saturday. Heathens are in pole position but Kobs will only give up after the final game day.
