Betway Kobs Seek Revenge Against Heathens

Betway Kobs will be looking to avoid a 3-game losing streak when they face Hima Cement Heathens at Legends on Friday. Having lost to Rhinos and Mongers in their last two fixtures, bouncing back against their arch-rivals will be paramount for the Legends outfit. Lawrence Ssebuliba's last-minute try gave Heathens the 4 points from the first round meeting at Kyadondo as Kobs suffered their first defeat of the season.

This time round, and loss would pretty much end the slightest hope of clinching the league title. With only three games left, Kobs trail table leaders Buzz Pirates by 10 points and now languish in third place, a point behind second-placed Rhinos. While Heathens will be keen to avoid a sixth defeat of the season, they will also be targeting to move up the table in the last three games of the season. A win for Muhammad Athiyo's charges will bring them within 1 or 2 points of second place.

Twenty four hours after Kobs clashing with Heathens, the other two teams in the race to the title will face off at the same venue. A win for Pirates will be enough for them to clinch the title for the first time in their history. Having won the first round clash, Pirates will still be favourites in the Legends derby although Rhinos will want to maintain their push for the title until the last day.

With Pirates set to face Kobs in the final game, a win for Rhinos will ensure title celebrations are postponed. Pirates are yet to lose a game on the pitch and the walkover awarded to Mongers in the first round remains as the only fixture from which Bobby Musinguzi's side didn't collect points.
