Betway Kobs Maintain Winning Run, Hippos Get First Victory

When the national rugby league season resumed on Saturday following a two weeks break, Betway Kobs started from where they had left off. The log leaders picked 4 points from the 'House of Pain' the home of the Plascon Mongers to stretch their unbeaten run to six games. Tries from Augustine Kasansula, Nobert Okeny and Alfred Karekaho ensured a 22-9 triumph and handed Ronnie Lutakome's charges their sixth victory of the season.

It was the first time the Legends outfit failed to collect a bonus point having earlier won the first five fixtures of the season with maximum points. “It was a very physical game but we managed to grind out a result. We have to make sure we do that week is week out," Betway Kobs captain Brian Asaba revealed after the game. Having already faced Buffaloes and Rhinos, Betway Kobs' next tricky ties will see them taking on defending champions Hima Cement Heathens and Buzz Pirates.
