Meanwhile utility player Pius Ogena was early this week named the Best Male Rugby Players of the Year 2019 by Uganda Sports Press Association.
The Kobs forward was unanimously picked by the sports scribes as the best of the year because of the performances he put in for both Kobs and the national teams.
Ogena was a big part of the Uganda Sevens team that represented the country at various events including the Africa 7s where Uganda finished second behind Kenya.
He was also the best player as Kobs lifted the Uganda Cup as well as the national 7s title. Ogena joins a list of other Kobs players to have taken home the coveted award.
Brian Odongo and Oscar Kalyango are some of the players to have taken home the award before.
Ogena will now put the award aside and try to help the Blue Army to yet another victory in the fight for the league title.
