During this off-season, Express FC and Betway Uganda will give back to the community that has supported and nurtured the club for over 50 years by taking part in a sanitation drive at the Kitebi Hospital.
Through sponsorship contributions and associations with sporting teams like Express F.C, Betway Power basketball and Betway Kobs RFC, Betway has become keenly aware of challenges faced by communities in Uganda. As such, a commitment to doing our part for the community wherever possible and seeking to provide aid to those in need has become a driving principle for Betway Uganda.
Kitebi Hospital is one of the health Centre IV’s that provides Health care to very many people in Rubaga Division. It is located in Rubaga South surrounded by Mutundwe, Nyanama, Bunnawaya and Wankulukuku, which is the home of “The Red Eagles” Express Football Club.
With the help of our sponsored asset, Express FC and the Betway Uganda team will embark on a Kitebi Hospital Cleanup Project. Since over 10,000 people a day visit the hospital, hygiene tends to be lacking.
We have set the following goals for our cleanup project;
- Cleaning of the tiles in the Maternity Ward
- Clearing of pavers in the waiting areas
- Mopping and disinfecting areas frequently visited by people.
- General Cleanliness
Betway Uganda and Express FC will visit Kitebi Hospital on 7
th of July to carry out the Cleanup Project. After the cleanup is complete, the team will hand over the cleaning equipment to the Sanitation Officer in the hospital to ensure that the community continues to carry on the prevention campaign. Express FC calls on all assets to show their support to Hospitals and give back to the communities they operate in.
