Bbosa wary of Kyetume threat as Express title charge intensifies

Like they say, every game against different opponents represents a diverse kind of challenge.

So after completing the double over Police to maintain their title aspirations, Express face a different kind of opponent on Wednesday when they travel to Mukono to play Kyetume in the league.

Against Police, they played a team known for its high-intensity short passing style that the Red Eagles subdued to record a 2-0 victory on Saturday.

But with Kyetume largely an unpredictable side, Express coach Wasswa Bbosa is preaching caution ahead of the tie.

“We know Kyetume FC is a stubborn side especially at home but we have one mission and that’s to win."

"The only way we can keep the pressure on the title chase is to win games and that’s the mentality the boys have so we pray we execute our plan on match-day.”

Express go into the game which is match-day 23 with 46 points, four behind leaders URA and Vipers who are on 49 points.

Their opponents meanwhile are locked in a race to avoid relegation and currently occupy the third and final relegation spot with 20 points, four shy of safety.

They have shown signs of improvement winning two of their last four games and losing once.

Express have meanwhile won their last three games to maintain the title charge.

This will be the third meeting in the league and fifth overall across all competitions.

The second league meeting last season was not played after the league was stopped with five games to be played due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Both sides met in the domestic cup and Express FC eliminated the hosts 3-2 on aggregate over two legs.
