Bbosa explains player reunion as Byamukama, Ssekyanzi join Red Eagles nest

John Byamukama and Faisal Ssekyanzi became the latest players to join six-time league champions Express FC after being unveiled by the club on September 15 and 18 respectively.

The duo consequently make it 12 signings for the Wasswa Bbosa-coached side this off season as they look to improve on last season's ninth place finish.

The other statistic of note however is that the pair joins a long list of players are joining the side having previously worked with Bbosa at his last two workstations.

And the coach who is also in his second stint at the club admitted to preferring a reunion with players he's previously worked with.

"It is easier to work with such players because they know my demands and I already know their ability. This should help us achieve  success with Express because we've achieved that with them elsewhere only to be undone by off-field issues, " Bbosa explains.

Byamukama and Ssekyanzi now join a long list that includes Arthur Kiggundu, Isa Lumu, Charles Musiige,Mahad Kakooza, Godfrey Lwesibawa, Crispus Kusiima and Abel Eturude among the players who have previously worked with Bbosa.

Byamukama  who is fondly known by his mates as “Tooky”  has spent two seasons at Tooro United, the 2018/19 season saw him managing two assists and a goal in 15 games. He then showed progress by playing three more games where he managed four assists and two goals.
