Atletico Madrid will take on Getafe CF in a Spanish LaLiga match at the Estadio Wanda Metropolitano on December 30.
This will be the 34th meeting between Atletico and Getafe across all competitions since 2005.
Atletico have the upperhand in this rivalry having recorded 21 wins compared to Getafe's four victories, while eight games ended in a draw.
The last league meeting between Atletico and Getafe was on 16 July 2020. Atletico emerged 2-0 winners over Getafe in a match which was played at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez.
Diego Costa, the Atletico striker, hopes his strike partner Luis Suarez continues his scoring form with the Uruguayan having hit the ground running following his move from Barcelona.

"Hopefully he [Suarez] continues like this. I am very happy for him - he is a scorer, and the more goals the better for the team," Costa said.
"We will continue scoring and competing but with respect for each other in the end. If we want to conquer something big this year.
"It has to be like the season we won La Liga [2014] - we had a great team."
