Atletico Madrid will square off with Real Sociedad in a Spanish La Liga match at the Estadio Wanda Metropolitano on July 19.

Diego Simeone, the Atletico manager, has backed Joao Felix ahead of their last two La Liga matches against Getafe and Sociedad.

"Joao is in his first year at Atletico. I am not surprised by anything that is happening to him," Simeone said.
"He has to be patient and not disengage. The anger he has because of what he wants to show, because of his qualities, sometimes costs him.
"Few footballers at 20 or 21 are the finished article. He has undoubted talent. He's a humble, respectful boy who gets along with everybody."
Meanwhile, Sociedad emerged 2-1 winners over Villarreal in their last away match in the league which was played on July 13.
As a result, the White and Blues are undefeated in their last two away matches in the league having recorded one draw and one victory.
The last meeting between Atletico and Sociedad in a league match was on 14 September 2019.
The White and Blues secured an impressive 2-0 win over the Mattress Makers in a match which was played at the Anoeta Stadium.
