Atalanta will be eyeing a return to winning ways in the 2020-21 Serie A season when they take aim at a struggling Torino in Bergamo on Saturday.

La Dea slumped to a 3-1 defeat at home to fellow top-four contenders Lazio last time out. The result left Gian Piero Gasperini's team in seventh spot, ten points off the pace.

Torino have struggled this season and go into this weekend's round of fixtures in 17th spot and only above the relegation on goal difference. La Granata have drawn their last three games in the league and are winless in five matches.

Davide Nicola's side could only conjure a 1-1 draw at Fiorentina last weekend despite the hosts having two men sent off in the second-half.

“The game was broken up for a long time and we didn’t play anymore,” said Nicola following their match in Florence. “We didn’t win. We always try to win but we have to be lucid and aware, I have seen a performance from lads who have tried.

“We can’t be satisfied, there are things to improve and I have clearly said that it’s a long way. When you struggle to keep your head, it doesn’t go hand in hand with the body and you make mistakes.”

“We are aware that there’s the need to improve our timing and in the management of emotions. Potentially, we can do much more, but I have seen the attitude."

Atalanta claimed a 4-2 win in the reverse fixture at Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino earlier this season. Five of the six goals on the day were scored in the first-half.
