Manchester City will be aiming to break their quarter-final curse when they host Borussia Dortmund in a 2020-21 Uefa Champions League first-leg tie at Etihad Stadium on Tuesday evening.

The Cityzens, who currently hold a 14-point lead atop the Premier League standings, are in the last eight for the fourth successive season but their last three campaigns have all ended at this stage.
For all the success City have achieved over the last decade, the Champions League trophy is the missing piece to the puzzle and manager Pep Guardiola is under no illusions of the pressure he faces - especially when it comes to this competition.
"Since the first year I arrived they told me that you have to win the Champions League," Guardiola said. "It is always on our shoulders but I'm not concerned about that.
"If you deserve it in football, you go through. I'm not thinking about getting to the semi-finals. I'm thinking about playing a good first leg (in the quarter-finals) and then a good second leg."

City beat German opposition in the round of 16, overcoming Borussia Monchengladbach 4-0 on aggregate. Borussia, who won the Champions League in 1997, beat Spanish side Sevilla 5-4 on aggregate to book their place in the quarter-finals of this season's competition.
The Yellow and Blacks currently occupy fifth spot on the Bundesliga standings.
The second-leg is set to take place at Westfalenstadion on the 14th of April.
