Okello wants to improve Power's offence

Betway Power is easily identified by their quick transition brand of basketball.

Newly recruited assistant coach Boniface Okello is one of the few members of the Power fraternity to have been part of the team that landed silverware for the club.

Beyond quick transition basketball, Okello wants to adjust the team's offence.  "We are working on different set plays already," Okello says.

Over the years Power has found it hard to beat set defence because of their over reliance on quick transition.

"We may not have to abandon the running game but we just have to add a few things," he added.

With various set plays added to the Power game, the team will be a different animal all together.

Power has already struggled at the start of the season with a 69-66 loss to defending champions City Oilers.

Arnold Lando's charges got their season up and running with a hard fought 71-60 win over KIU Titans.

New signing Cyrus Kiviiri is so far the man on form for the five-time champions as they look to lift their sixth title.

Power's last championship came in 2011 with the current squad boasting only two members from that squad, Joseph Ikong and Isaac Afidra.
