21 Kobs players summoned to Rugby Cranes squad

Betway Kobs has contributed the biggest chunk of players to the recently summoned Rugby Cranes squad.

Up to 21 players have been called up from the team that won the Nile Stout Rugby League two weeks ago.

With the league now out of the way, all the attention is on the international season that is set to start next month.

The Rugby Cranes will play Ghana and Algeria in July and also have two clashes with the Kenya Simbas in the annual Elgon Cup.
The team is expected to start training on Saturday, May 22 at Kyadondo Rugby Grounds.

There is a return to the national fold for former captain Brian Odongo who was mainly kept out by injuries.

Youngsters Karim Arinaitwe and Trevor Maina have also seen their exploits earn them a call-up after their first season in the top flight.

Pirates have the second biggest number of players having sent 15 while Heathens have eight.
